Book a Free ConsultationOverview
Workplace mediation supports employees, managers, employers and HR teams in addressing concerns and resolving workplace difficulties constructively. It provides a confidential and impartial space to discuss issues and agree a practical way forward.
Mediation may form part of an organisation’s internal grievance, disciplinary, employee relations, or workplace resolution procedures. An independent external mediator can also be appointed where additional neutrality would be helpful.
Mediation may be requested by an employee, proposed by a manager or HR team, or offered by the organisation under its internal workplace procedures. Participation remains voluntary and the appointment of an external mediator will usually be agreed with the organisation.

In this role, I manage the hearing impartially, ask questions of all those involved, review the relevant information and prepare a clear written report setting out the matters considered and any findings or recommendations.

TESTIMONIALS
What clients are saying
I engaged Lubna to support our organisation as an independent workplace mediator during a number of sensitive disciplinary processes. As HR Director, it was important to me that the process was handled with professionalism, impartiality and appropriate regard for both the organisation’s responsibilities and the individuals involved. Lubna brought a calm, balanced and highly professional approach throughout. She took the time to understand the wider circumstances surrounding the matter, created an environment in which the parties felt able to communicate openly, and helped ensure that difficult conversations remained constructive and focused on resolution. Her legal background, combined with her mediation skills, was particularly valuable. She was able to navigate complex workplace dynamics while remaining neutral and ensuring that the process was fair, structured and respectful. What stood out most was Lubna’s ability to bring clarity and perspective to an emotionally challenging situation. Her involvement helped us move forward in a considered and practical way while maintaining the integrity of our internal HR processes. I would confidently recommend Lubna to organisations seeking an experienced, credible and compassionate mediator to assist with workplace disputes, disciplinary matters or other sensitive employee relations issues.
"Lubna Khan worked as a mediator in response to a complaint filed with the Dispute Resolution Tribunal in Dubai, UAE. I was very impressed by Lubna’s professionalism and she was very courteous in all her communications and interactions, providing a regular briefing to me and the HR Team. I would highly recommend Lubna as a negotiator in dispute resolution."
